This footage, provided by an Anti-Junta media outlet in Myanmar, shows local PDF units attacking the Nyaunghyupin Army Camp in Sagaing. As is typical with PDF units, a variety of weapons and equipment are in play.
As most of the eyes of the free world were once again on the Normandy coastline in remembrance of Operation Overlord, these PDF fighters spent their June 06 taking the fight to their enemies, the Myanmar Junta forces. Sticking it to oppressive regimes is something of a tradition in Myanmar, which was known as Burma on the June 06th we tend to think of. Here, they’re shown raiding an Army camp using a mix of weapons, although at least one fighter (not including our intrepid cameraman) can’t resist getting some cell phone video for himself.
