Rare footage of Ukrainian MIM-104 Patriot anti-air missiles launching against Russian targets. The American-made Patriot has proved a formidable component of the Ukrainian air-defense network, but a shortage of systems and missiles has left gaps in their shield. Recent talks between the U.S. and various western allies, including Israel, have resulted in pledges of more Patriot systems and NASAMS interceptors. Vast improvements in air-defense systems coupled with the arrival of U.S. made F-16s will result in an improved capability to intercept airborne threats and to protect critical infrastructure.
