This bodycam footage shows a Pakistani squad attempting to ambush Taliban fighters. The cameraman, in a feat of field-expedient adhesive gunsmithing, has affixed his thermal optic to his AK using non-factory-suggested means (read: tape). It’s a bold strategy- let’s see how this plays out for him.

....And it’s gone. Admittedly, it held out longer than he had any right to expect, although it’s not as if it would have held zero and been any sort of useful, anyway. It’s also pretty hilarious how quickly the video ends after his optic falls off- like it only just then occurred to him how cool he doesn’t look. Don’t get me wrong; I’m happy any time someone wants to give the Taliban the business, but if you’re gonna provide evidence to the world of you looking goofy while doing it, I’m still going to laugh.
