Footage of a strange phenomenon that occurs whenever troops put on body armor is shown in full display in this one minute montage of troops pretending they are Spartan War Lords.
There is a strange thing that happens whenever a Soldier, Marine, Sailor, or Airmen puts on body armor. It's not even limited to just American service-members either. It's kind of a worldwide thing. As soon as SAPI plates are inserted into a plate carrier, the troop behind the armor thinks himself an immortal being prepared to face the entire world. So, as any immortal being would do, they test this feeling against their friend's strongest drop kick. Like the Immortals in The 300 however, their friend generally takes this challenge personally and puts their name to the test.
I'm sure there's an actual psychological term for this phenomenon. It's probably "Iron-man Syndrome" or something, but since I don't know for a fact that there is a term, I'm just going to make one up myself. From this moment forward, this action will forever be known as the King Leonidas effect™. I even put a TM on there so you know it's officially official.
