Russian troops in the Bryansk border region intercepted and eliminated a pro-Ukrainian infiltration squad, and gruesome aftermath footage suggests that one of the slain operators was a former US Army Ranger. The incursion team was armed with semtex explosives and anti-tank munitions, along with multiple small arms and grenades. One of those killed had a 2nd Ranger Bat (75th RR) tattoo. The team, specifically, is the unit called "Rogue." It aligns under the Ukrainian GUR as a part of the International Legion. The team members comprising Rogue, as suspected, are volunteers. Many (if not most/all) are former service members in Western armed forces. During this operation into Bryansk, somewhere between 4 and 8 total team members were killed, with up to 10 wounded, including the team medic. It appears as though the team was ambushed by MG positions, then mines, drones, and mortars took their toll. It's not clear at this time if any of the team managed to survive.
