This video depicts a Ukrainian sniper team -armed with a suppressed Barrett M82 and Raufoss ammunition- engaging, killing, and ultimately looting Russian infantry. Because casualties are shown, viewer discretion is advised.
The Barrett M82 was designed in 1980 and put in service in 1989, having since been used by a multitude of nations and non-state users as an anti-materiel and anti-personnel platform. The M82A1A is tailored for use with Raufoss rounds, which are also present in this video.
The Raufoss round, also designated Mk 211, is a .50 BMG multipurpose round with anti-materiel, armor-piercing, HE and incendiary qualities. While one could be forgiven for thinking "Raufoss"- "red waterfall" in Norwegian- is a reference to its effectiveness, it was produced by a company sharing the same name, which has since changed its name to Nammo/ Nordic Ammunition Company. The Red Cross has sought to ban this round. The alleged stance of the Norwegian government is that it is supposed to be used only for anti-materiel purposes, though snipers are exempt from this due to the practicality issues of swapping rounds between target types.
The video is a collection of shots, interspersed with the snipers checking their work and looting the Russians of equipment. There's a bonus rocket shot at 01:11, although I'm not nearly as well-versed in shouldered rocket systems. At 01:34, we see one of the snipers laden down with several captured AK/RPK-pattern weapons.
