Las Vegas police responded to a call of a burglary in progress inside a trailer park, and the suspect was reportedly armed. The officers confronted the suspect who ignored multiple commands to drop his weapon and eventually raised the pistol, resulting in a fatal officer involved shooting.
The incident took place on March 29, 2022. The deceased suspect was identified as 41-year-old Michael Allensworth. Allensworth was armed with a loaded .22 starter pistol. He didn't fire his weapon. No other people were injured in the incident.
