This compilation of dashcam, bodycam, and aerial footage depicts suspect Michael Kirkland as he attacks both uniformed officers and uninvolved drivers as he flees from his arrest. Ultimately, he is shot by two officers and killed. Viewer discretion is advised.
Footage begins with a dashcam as two vehicles attempt to box in and interdict suspect Michael Kirkland, who has a warrant for Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant. We see an officer exit his vehicle and circle to our right, his weapon drawn. A woman first exits Kirkland’s vehicle, then Kirkland begins to move it at 0:33. Kirkland strikes the patrol vehicle as he flees down a one-way road.
At 01:09, we see a different cruiser’s dashcam coverage as Kirkland crashes into a black SUV at the intersection. Kirkland’s car is struck from behind by a police vehicle and we see Kirkland beginning to exit the vehicle as it leaves frame to the left at 01:14. Two officers run after him.
The chase picks up from the bodycam of one of the officers. He and Kirkland exchange gunfire at 01:28. The officer asks for a tourniquet at 01:31, having been struck in his arm. Then we transition to the other officer, who is armed with an AR-15. We see him firing down on Kirkland, who is attempting to stop a car with gunfire, as shown at 01:48.
