Additional context from the Russian Soldier who's surrender was captured by a drone camera has surfaced today, with the Russian Soldier telling his version of the events that lead to his surrender.
Last week we published this video of a Russian Soldier surrendering to Ukrainian Forces. Today, a new video with an interview from that specific Soldier has been released by Ukrainian forces. In the video above, the Russian Soldier recounts his surrender to Ukrainian forces.
Here's a loose translation.
Interviewer: “How did you surrender?"
Russian Soldier: "Well, I was sitting in a foxhole, and I was told “get out, there’s no space for you here”, so I ran to another foxhole. Your “bird” (drone) was overhead. I was running from foxhole to foxhole. Shells were falling. When I understood we were about to be fucked up, I already had thoughts of giving myself up but didn’t know where to turn to surrender. So when the last shell exploded, I jumped into a foxhole and when it stopped I got up and was looking up at your drone. It was moving left to right. I would make a few steps and it was moving with me."
Interviewer: "We killed your entire group."
Russian Soldier: "I believe it.”
