Footage from a Russian medic crew shows the treatment of a Russian soldier that had sustained two blast injuries in a mine field.
The soldier had reportedly stepped on an anti personnel mine, which blew his left foot off entirely. He then fell onto the ground, detonating a second mine with his right hip.
By the time the injured man is in the ambulance and the video is recording he has already been treated with two makeshift tourniquets, bandage dressings, and some sort of blood clotting chemical agent, which explains the discoloration of the skin.
The medics assess and treat his blast injury and then reapply a better tourniquet to his left leg so they can remove the improvised ones. Although the patient has sustained life-threatening wounds, he is more concerned if his testicles are still in tact. They assure him that they are.
