According to the Russian source that released this video, the GoPro footage above was taken from a dead Ukrainian Soldier who had a Russian identification card from Saint Petersburg on him at the time of his death. While we are unable to independently verify the authenticity of this video at this time, it allegedly shows a Ukrainian squad hitting a landmine and being destroyed by an ambush force of Russian Soldiers near Bakhmut.
Around 9:18 in the video, just before the GoPro falls to the ground, it appears as if a possible Russian Soldier shows up directly in front of the man who is recording and shoots him point blank. At the same time, a nearby explosion appears to go off as well, which could also be what caused the GoPro to become dislodged.
If and when more information becomes available about this video, we will update this post.
