NSFW: Minor Fires Into Crowd At High School Football Game

This compilation of bodycam footage depicts police officers at a high school football game in Jacksonville, Florida. They are breaking up fights when a suspect fires into the crowd. The officers pursue and return fire, wounding the suspect. Due to the nature of the material and the age of the suspect, viewer discretion is advised.

Footage from the first officer's perspective begins by showing several officers standing by and/or reviewing information. At 0:37, the audio feed kicks in as the officer moves toward a fight in progress, along with backup. At 0:40, a combatant gets tased, but is neither focused on nor the subject of this footage. As the TASER discharges, our suspect fires into the crowd. The officer identifies him as wearing a white shirt. Officer #2, who had been responding to the fight fires three times as he chases the suspect. As Officer #1 continues the pursuit, the officer who initially returned fire (Officer #2) takes longer distance shots from the fence to Officer #1's right. The chase continues toward a nearby gas station. At 01:24, Officer #1 orders the suspect to the ground, leaving no uncertainty. He holds the suspect, borrowing cuffs from another officer as his have been used. The suspect, a minor presumably using a medical mask to conceal his identity reveals that he has been injured in the head and hip. In an admittedly impressive display of de-escalation, Officer #1, who said he would kill the suspect seconds ago, apologizes for having to trauma-strip him in order to treat him.

Officer #2's video picks up from the fight, depicting him firing at the suspect as he flees. He continually calls out what the suspect is wearing, so that other officer know who to look for. At 03:02, he fires at the suspect from a nearby fence as Officer #1 continues to pursue. At 03:37, he rather aptly sums up the suspect's actions. At 04:32, he supplies a tourniquet to Officer #1 and takes the suspect's weapon.

Lastly, Officer #3. As before, the video begins as the officers respond to a fight in progress. His audio does not kick in before the suspect fires, but his camera captures the chase. At 05:20, he fires seven times, and at 05:28, a further four times.

The suspect was identified as being 15 years of age. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for his injuries, whereupon he was arrested after release from care. No other persons were injured in this action.
