Ghastly witness footage shows an incident in which a Mexican military cadet's parachute fails to fully deploy, resulting in his death upon impact.

Aftermath footage shows the cadet cratered several inches into the ground, and also shows that he did deploy his reserve chute on his belly, which had also failed to inflate, likely becoming entangled in his twisted main canopy. The incident took place at Mexico's Heroic Naval Academy in early July 2024.
