(NSFW) Israeli Air Force Deletes Hamas Militants

This compilation of thermal camera footage, provided by the Israeli Air Force, shows a collection of air strikes performed on Hamas militants, both in the open and occupying buildings. The Palestinian fighters are simply erased by the explosions. Throughout the history of armed conflict, and in particular concern of conflicts since World War One involving artillery and air attacks, much commentary has been made regarding “the one with your name on it,” and the intersection of fate and simple bad luck. I imagine it’s a lot harder to get philosophical about it on the ground, when someone with a camera that can see you as plain as day gets to make the decision to delete you, versus being a victim of probability in the carpet bombing and shelling of other conflicts.
