This compilation of security, bodycam, and helicopter camera footage depicts deputies in Stanislaus Co. California, as they attempt to interdict a suspect in a stolen vehicle, armed with a stolen handgun. After a high-speed chase, he fires on police officers and is shot. Viewer discretion is advised.

Footage begins with a security camera feed of the suspect, 43-year-old Jason Dingler, breaking into a private residence. At 00:17, he is pictured kicking the front door in. From this residence, Dingler steals a handgun. At 0:21, we see Dingler stealing a truck, using the same stolen weapon. Interestingly, Dingler claims active duty status as a "first battalion second corporal"... whatever the hell that is. As he walks the victim back to the truck he intends to steal, he tries very hard to look like he knows what he's doing, peering around and adopting a "Sul" stance. This hardcore gunfighter just robbed a guy in front of their grandmother.

At 01:31, we see security footage of our intrepid second corporal robbing a convenience store with said handgun and truck. Dingler enters the store at 01:52. He blatantly and without breaking stride steals two cases of beer. At 02:42, the stolen truck is identified by an air unit. He is pursued at speeds of up to 85 mph for 11 miles. At 0:32, he side-swipes a car on the side of the road, then veers off into an orchard. The person in the struck vehicle declined medical at the time of the incident.

With continued coverage from the air unit, there is also bodycam footage from one of the responding deputies in the top left at 03:32. As the deputy exits the vehicle, Dingler opens fire, retreating into the trees. At 04:12, thermal imaging depicts Dingler amongst the trees, the stolen handgun visible in his hand. He points the weapon at the helicopter at 04:27. We then transition to another bodycam at 04:33. The deputies demand Dingler's surrender, at which point he fires four times, striking a patrol car. At 04:58, Second Corporal Dingler takes a prone position, as if the circling helicopter can no longer see him.

As an armored vehicle arrives on-scene at 05:14, Dingler begins to advance toward the deputies. He is fired upon by two deputies- one from under the patrol vehicle, and another in the turret of the armored vehicle. Although he is initially downed, the air unit reports Dingler as up and walking at 05:48. At 06:09, he is clearly visible lying supine, with the gun to his right. In an attempt to get Dingler to comply, the deputies try Spanish commands at 07:02. At 07:45, the SWAT team moves in to effect the arrest and render aid.

No other persons were injured in this incident, and as of time of writing, First Battalion Second Corporal Dingler is in stable condition at an area ICU. He is charged with the following: Residential Burglary: Burglary Carjacking: Carjacking, Kidnapping, Burglary, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Robbery: Robbery, Brandishing a Firearm Pursuit: Evading a Peace Officer, Hit and Run, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle Attempted Murder: Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Prohibited Person in Possession of Ammunition, Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm, Attempted Murder.
