Extremely gruesome security camera footage has surfaced showing today's deadly incident at a Ukrainian missile factory in which a national guardsman opened fire on his own unit, killing five and injuring another five people.
According to initial reports, the suspect, 21-year-old Artem Ryabchuk, began shooting those around him during a weapons issuing period prior to his guard shift at the Pivdenmash missile factory in Dnipro. Ryabchuk has been detained by police and no further threat to facility staff is expected.
The slain victims have been identified as four service members and one civilian woman. The identities and condition of those injured isn't clear at this time, but the Ukrainian interior minister said doctors were fighting to save their lives.
The motives for the mass murder are not yet known. It's possible Ryabchuk is disgruntled or mentally ill. However, given the current tense geopolitical climate regarding Ukraine, there is a flood of speculation as to whether Ryabchuk is a Russian agent, or if the incident was some sort of false flag or catalyst operation by an unknown party to set Ukraine on a course for war.
On Jan. 14, 2022, US intelligence outlets claimed they had information indicating that Russia had pre-positioned a group of operatives to conduct false-flag operations in Ukraine to instigate and rationalize a full fledged invasion.
The macabre footage shows unsuspecting guardsmen preparing for their shift when Ryabchuk begins systematically shooting his colleagues. He returns to an equipment locker multiple times to retrieve ammunition to continue his massacre.
