(NSFW) Doomed Russian Survives One Drone, Killed By Second

This footage, captured from an FPV drone, shows a Russian soldier hiding among bricks and rubble. The first drone failed to detonate, but it catches his panicked reaction as he tries his best to shield himself, unaware that a second drone is incoming. Drone footage is a constant, these days, across several conflicts. I think you could forgive people for being desensitized to it. But every now and then, you see something so human, so awful, that it italicizes the horror that war is. Look at this poor bastard- how hard he's breathing, the raw fear. This video came to me with the usual Ukrainian mix of bad techno and "funny" sound bytes, but I have muted both out of some last measure of respect for a human being that was otherwise thrown away by someone who's never been in the same room as him. It's almost embarrassing to admit that this comes from an American sitcom from the 80s, but I'm reminded of Hawkeye, and MASH. To paraphrase: "War is war, and Hell is Hell, and of the two... War is worse. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell; War is chock full of them. In fact, except for some of the brass, almost everyone involved is an innocent bystander."
