This footage, coming in from Corona CA, shows a Sheriff's Deputy fighting for control of his handgun- and thereby, his life- against two suspects, one of whom repeatedly encourages the other to kill him. The fight lasts for around four minutes, which is a lot longer than it sounds when struggling hand-to-hand. One of the suspects is shot and killed, and therefore viewer discretion is advised. The Deputy encountered two persons acting strangely, and when he approached to inquire, the pair fled, doubling back and engaging him as shown in the security footage in the opening seconds of this video. As they struggle, 32-year-old Eric Nourani repeatedly coaches 30-year-old Jennifer Dobbins, telling her to hold, and later, attempt to kill him. She rebukes the Deputy in the name of Jesus and kicks at him as her accomplice continues to wrestle for control of the weapon. Interestingly, at 02:38, the Deputy states "I'm going black"- presumably as an indicator that he's running out of strength/oxygen and options, for when the footage is reviewed later. At 02:45, he shoots Dobbins with a single round. Despite this, Nourani continues to struggle with the Deputy, urging the fading Dobbins to get in the fight until help arrives for the Deputy. Despite medical aid provided on-scene, Dobbins was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Nourani was charged with murder, attempted murder of a LEO, mayhem, and resisting with violence.
