This footage, provided by IDF and police working in tandem in the West bank, shows two Hamas leaders being interdicted and neutralized in their car. While the casualties are not shown, the subject matter necessitates viewer discretion. Approximately three hours ago (as of 0925 EST US, 30 Aug 2024) the IDF released a statement which announced that they had taken under fire and killed Wissam Khazem, the leader of Hamas in the city of Jenin. Two other prominent Hamas fighters, including Maysara Masharqa, were killed as they tried to flee. The Al-Qassam Brigades, which comprise the literal armed wing of Hamas, corroborated this statement with their own release, stating that Masharqa was one of their "most prominent field commanders" (emphasis mine). It may be somewhat hard to generate sympathy for the organization that greenlit the shooting of Israeli civilians in _their_ cars last October, which kicked off this whole thing.
