(NSFW) Car Thief Steals SUV with Cop and K9 Still Inside - Gets Shot

This compilation of bodycam, security and dash cam footage depicts a suspect attempting to abscond with a stolen vehicle- despite the fact that a police officer and his K9 partner are inside. Viewer discretion is advised.

On August 8, 2023, the suspect, one Mike Alexander-Garcia, struck multiple vehicles with a stolen Hyundai, resulting in the stolen vehicle becoming disabled. He fled on foot and tried unsuccesfully to steal two other vehicles before making it to the tire shop pictured here. He entered a Toyota RAV4 which was being serviced, as depicted at 0:13. At 0:26, a responding officer puts his K9 partner through the passenger side window of the Toyota before entering himself at 0:31. The video then cuts back to bodycam footage, showing the K9 latching onto the suspect's right arm. At 0:45 seconds, we see security camera footage of the suspect driving away in the vehicle, with both the human and K9 officer still inside. A patrol car's dash cam shows the suspect fleeing the scene, striking a tree as he leaves the tire shop.

Inside the vehicle, the officer is shown firing several times into the suspect, as the suspect has shown blatant disregard for human life in his actions and has, in effect, kidnapped both the officer and K9. The footage then switches to the aftermath as recorded by a responding officer's dash cam. The suspect's stolen vehicle crashed into a utility pole after striking two more vehicles, and Mike Alexander-Garcia was pronounced dead at a local hospital, while the officer suffered multiple head injuries and a broken rib. There was no apparent harm done to the K9.
