Graphic drone footage from the battle for Bakhmut shows a squad of Russian Wagner PMC troops coming under accurate Ukrainian artillery fire and taking casualties. As they gather up their wounded and attempt to move out of the impact area, an artillery round lands directly on top of three of the mercenaries. The blast sends part of a torso skidding past the remaining survivors, and they rapidly move to a covered trench, but another strike hits their position as the video ends.
Something to note is the explosions of the Ukrainian artillery rounds which appear fiery and powerful in nature, greatly resembling the thermobaric munition detonations we have seen in Russian strikes in Ukraine and Syria. However, the munition types cannot be determined from the video alone.
