This drone footage shows a group of soldiers erecting a fence in Pakkoku, within the Magway region of Myanmar. An anti-junta sniper opens fire, dropping one of the workers and causing the rest to flee. They return a short time later to retrieve their fallen comrade. Viewer discretion is advised.
No context was provided with the video insofar as what faction or group the sniper may belong to, but the group of workers erecting a fence would be easy pickings for any sniper looking for a target of opportunity. The construction crew doesn’t appear to have any sort of overwatch or counter-sniper capability, making it easy for the anti-junta forces to both cause casualties and delay defensive constructions. Whether the target survived or was killed outright, the psychological effect on the workers, being so exposed, is probably pretty profound.
