(NSFW) California Deputy Gets It Done With One Shot

This bodycam footage, courtesy of Santa Clarita Sheriff's Department, shows one of their officers incapacitating an armed domestic violence suspect with a single shot in the nearby unincorporated town of Castaic. Although no one is killed, viewer discretion is advised. During the 911 call which reported the incident, several gunshots were heard. As the deputy shown here responded to the location given, he observed the suspect Raul Martinez, 43, exit his car with a handgun. The deputy then fired one round, dropping Martinez with a shot to the upper chest despite his close proximity to a female passenger and probable victim. Furthermore, a second potential victim- a juvenile male, was also in the car. Due to aid rendered, Martinez survived his injury and is being held for a plethora of felonies, as well as allegations relating to the firearm that was in his possession and another which was found in the car. One suspect, one round, one set of handcuffs, zero body bags. Work to be proud of.
