A newly released video shows a different, higher-quality angle of footage we published last week documents a poorly-planned, wholly uncoordinated Russian armored assault that ends in disaster in the vicinity of Synkivka, in eastern Kharkiv.
A motorcade of Russian combat vehicles can be seen entering an open killing field, already littered with burnt out vehicles hulls from previous failed assaults. They immediately come under heavy fire.
The lead vehicle suddenly sustains a crippling blast, likely an anti tank mine. The following vehicles attempt to turn around, but the rear vehicle is then blown up. Seeing the vulnerability of the vehicles, the onboard Russian infantrymen quickly dismount into the woodline where there are trenches but no overhead cover. That's when artillery cluster munitions begin ravaging the forested area.
