More footage has surfaced on the internet today claiming to show Ukrainian Special Operations teams conducting direct action missions inside of Sudan against the RSF. If true, this marks an exceptional growth in Ukraine's ability to project power abroad and to wage war against global Russian interests.
There is no way for us to independently verify that these are actually Ukrainian Special Operations troops on the ground in Ukraine. FLIR footage of a couple of decked out operators does not decisively prove evidence of Ukrainian troops on the ground anymore than footage of a couple of white guys shooting high powered rifles in the region.
The reason I hold these reservations is because I still find it unlikely that Ukraine has this level of power projection at the moment given the circumstances and situation on their home front where they are still fighting tooth and nail against Russian occupation.
My opinion on the matter does not however mean that it is entirely impossible for it to be true that the Ukrainians have deployed their Special Operations units to Sudan to assist the Sudanese military in their fight against the RSF which is in direct contrast to Russian interests in the region.
