M1A1 Abrams Sighted Near Avdiivka

An M1A1 Abrams is sighted in Ukraine, purportedly near Avdiivka. It is an interesting choice to commit one of Ukraine’s most potent ground combat assets to this area of operations, and if true, it is unclear whether Abrams-equipped units would bolster defenses, contain a potential Russian breakthrough, or spearhead a counterattack. I am not sure if any of these are the best use of this platform. The source notes that the Abrams is equipped with M-19 ARAT-1 Reactive armor tiles, adding additional armor to the tank’s formidable hide.
