K2 Battalion Operation to Destroy Russian Blocking Position

Seven minutes of drone footage released by the K2 Battalion captures the conduct of a complex assault against a series of Russian positions that were built to block and control a main avenue of approach somewhere in Ukraine.

According to the release, this operation was conducted on a road leading out of Soledar. No further commentary or context was added outside of the untranslated talking that can be heard throughout.

Large scale drone operations like this are evidence that the single greatest shift in warfare since the invention of the machine gun is about to occur in our lifetime. This is an all hands on deck issue that needs to be seriously researched and war gamed at warfighting colleges across the United States. Immediate publication of a document updating tactics, techniques, and procedures that take into account the addition of drones to the battlefield needs to happen now. If we're updating documents from maneuver warfare to squad tactics after putting boots on the deck in the next battlefield, we're failing.
