An Israeli Air defense missile intercepts a target, exact location unknown. The source says nothing about the weapon system or the target. Other than looking impressive, the footage is a reminder that Israel’s air defense network, while impressive, is also expensive. Iron Dome has performed admirably over Israel’s skies, but the cost of each missile is over $70,000, a hefty price tag when compared to the relatively low cost of drones and homemade rockets. It will be interesting to see if great powers begin looking for more cost-effective measures.
