Incredible footage from northern Iraq, reportedly filmed in 2015, shows a Kurdish Peshmerga fighter stepping on and detonating a hidden Islamic State improvised explosive device (IED) and somehow walks away from the blast.
The video shows the Peshmerga fighter climbing a hill to investigate a visible fortification. As hear nears the top a blast consumes him. The cameraman, terrified that his friend may have just died, frantically calls out and runs toward the blast to assess the damage.
Amazingly, the targeted man comes walking away from the explosion site. He is tattered and certainly not unscathed, but he is alive.
