Houthi Drone Boats Sink Greek Ship "Tutor"

This footage, provided by a Houthi media outlet, documents the attack and sinking of the Tutor, a Greek-owned coal carrier which was attacked by the Yemen-based rebels in the Red Sea. It was attacked on 12 June, 2024 and was finally, officially reported sunk on 19 June, 2024.

Struck by missiles as well as two kamikaze-style maritime drones as shown here, the Tutor is reportedly the second ship completely sunk as a result of Houthi actions since November. Although the Tutor was Greek-owned, she was registered out of Liberia, and hosted a crew of 22 from the Philippines. The crew was evacuated on 14, June 2024. A third ship, the Verbena, has been similarly evacuated in the last week, as a Houthi attack set the wooden construction cargo it had been carrying on fire. The Verbena, now abandoned, is vulnerable to further attack.
