A reported trifecta of HIMARS GMLRS air burst strikes targeted a group of about two dozen Russian troops near a river crossing in the Kursk region. The first two air burst seems to strike very high above the target with the intent to scatter a greater area, but in doing so makes the impact pattern less dense and less lethal. It appears that half of the group, about a dozen, survived the initial strikes and maneuver into a forested area for cover. However, another strike rips through their new position, and the remaining survivors flee to find a new spot.
