This footage, provided by a Hezbollah media outlet, shows one of their fighters using an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) system to attack Israeli armor as it sits parked in a border base. Per Hezbollah, this attack occurred on 29 June, 2024.
While the militant and his location are obfuscated in order to prevent Israeli forces from targeting them, the Almas system is clearly displayed. That’s because, as a retro-engineered version of the IDF’s tremendously effective “Spike” system, Hezbollah loves to show it off as much as they can. However, whether it’s an Iranian copy or not, the Almas still proves effective against IDF armor such as the Merkava tank and Namer APC shown here.
