Fresh footage from the Kherson counter-offensive shows a Ukrainian Soldier's life being saved by the armor of a Turkish Kirpi 2 during an indirect fire attack by Russian forces.
While the full context of this video is still unknown, what we do know is that the footage above was recorded by a Ukrainian Soldier conducting combat operations near Kherson. It appears as if the unit he was with was utilizing two Turkish Kirpi 2 armored vehicles for troop transport purposes when they came under indirect fire from what is most likely a nearby Russian mortar team.
Shortly after the recording Soldier jumps into the back of one of the vehicles, a round impacts just outside of the vehicle near the hood and driver's side door. The flash can be clearly seen on camera. Had the Soldier been standing outside of the vehicle when the round impacted, there is a very high chance that he would have, at the very least, received shrapnel injuries from the round.
