Russian troops on a security patrol over-extend half a kilometer into Ukrainian held territory due to an error with their global positioning system and find themselves in a chaotic gunfight.
For the purpose of context, the video above was recorded by Russian troops on a security patrol in the Izyum region of Ukraine. According to the source, the GPS of the troops had malfunctioned during the patrol causing the Russian troops to patrol half a kilometer behind Ukrainian lines where they took contact. During their fighting retreat with Ukrainian forces, one Russian soldier trigged an anti-personnel mine, injuring him.
The landmine can be seen detonating at the 1:47 mark.
This footage was released to Telegram by the Russian troops who took contact, and according to the operator who filmed the footage only the one Russian Soldier was injured during their fighting retreat. The blurring in the video was done by the original source to protect the identities of the Russian Soldiers.
