Gainesville Police Rescue Driver From Burning Vehicle

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, two officers from the Gainesville Police Department respond to a 9-1-1 call about a vehicle that was on fire after an accident.


When the two officers arrived at the scene of the incident, they realized that the driver of the vehicle was unconscious and trapped inside of the burning vehicle. They then moved to get the man out of the burning vehicle. Once the driver, who has yet to be identified, was safely away from the vehicle, the officers began providing the man with life-saving aid.


The man was later transported to a nearby medical facility, where according to local news reports he is currently listed as in stable condition. The source of the accident is still under investigation, however it is believed that the driver of the vehicle may have been involved in another accident just prior to this one.
