A topic that often comes up in our continuing coverage of Myanmar is the varied types of small arms that find their way into service in the insurgent/anti-junta units known as the People’s Defense Forces (PDF). This footage depicts the test firing and disassembly of what looks to be a home-built AR platform, made from the parts of other rifles. The rounded upper receiver and barrel definitely have some Khyber Pass charm. It provides an example of the state-of-play the PDFs are working with, along with the ever-present and ubiquitous AK-pattern rifles.
