Multiple video angles shows the deadly crash of a Yak-130 trainer fighter jet following a mechanical failure within the aircraft. The incident took place in Bangladesh on May 9, 2024.
The jet can be seen barrel rolling at a downward angle toward the runway at high speeds, at which point it bounces of the ground before retaking the air in an out-of-control flight. Shortly there after, the aircraft bursts into flames and falls apart. One of the pilots can be seen ejecting and reportedly survived with injuries. The second pilot died.
