Video: F-22 Raptors Intercept Russian Bombers Near Alaska

The Russian Ministry of Defense released a video showing a close encounter with US aircraft as two F-22 Raptors intercepted Tu-95 bombers off the coast of Alaska.

Although Russian aircraft regularly enter the US Air Defense Identification Zone, this is the second time this week. Russia conducts the maneuvers to test and pattern US response times and procedures, while the sorties also serve as "dry run" training in preparation for actual bombing missions.
