A video uploaded by rogue General Khalifa Haftar’s Libyan National Army (LNA) claims to show the "extermination" of Syrian mercenaries hired by Libya's interim Government of National Accord (GNA).
The video itself was filmed on a helmet cam, worn by one of the GNA mercenaries. The footage was later recovered and uploaded by the LNA. What actually takes place in the video isn't easy to understand. The LNA would have you believe that they shot an RPG into the back of the house and it detonates in the crowded hallway, which is certainly possible.
One could also consider that one of the mercenaries negligently detonated some sort of explosive, although RPGs have an arming distance of several meters, and the aftermath footage appears to show all warheads still loaded in the visible launchers.
However, the remaining survivors seem pretty convinced the it was an attack from the LNA and they begin returning fire and attempt to exfil the area. Based on the fact that the LNA ended up with the footage, the GNA mercs likely didn't get far.
