Footage recorded on what is allegedly a DJI Matrice 300 RTK hexacopter showcases a machine learning algorithm built to detect and identify Russian armor.
Allow me to be the first to admit that I can't speak on this topic with any authority. I know absolutely nothing about drones other than they're terrifying when you attach a 3D printed munition device to the bottom of them, and I know even less about machine learning algorithms used to detect and identify equipment and people. Even still, I think I'm more terrified of the prospect of a drone with machine learning technology being unleashed on the battlefield than I am about drones with 3D printed munition devices on the bottom of them.
Hopefully one of you lovely bastards out there can shed some light on what's really going on in this video. According to the source, the Ukrainians are developing a machine learning algorithm that will help them spot, identify, and destroy Russian armor all from the safety of commercial drones like this hexacopter. Again, for full disclosure, I wouldn't recognize a machine learning algorithm if it was teaching me mathematics, so I definitely have no idea what I'm looking at in this video.
I'm looking at you comments section. Teach me something.
