Unconfirmed video reportedly shows a cluster munition attack that was responsible for the massive fiery explosion that occurred at a Turkish proxy militia controlled checkpoint near Jarabulus, Syria on Mar. 5, 2021.
Based on the evidence present in the aftermath, the attack was carried out with a 9M79-series Tochka ballistic missile which would have been loaded with 9N24 submunitions, a.k.a. cluster munitions or bomblets, if this video is authentic.
Considering the target was Turkish-backed militants, the only party able, equipped, or likely to carry out this attack would have been almost certainly the Russian-Syrian regime alliance.
