Crazy Canadian Pilot Pulls off Mountain Side Evacuation

A Canadian Bell CH-146 “Griffon” helicopter crew conducts an extraction in Afghanistan. To be honest, I'm impressed the pilot can keep the helo in the air with all the extra weight he carries on-board with him.

I've been told that keeping a helicopter at a hover is something like balancing on a ball with one foot while juggling knives over a pit of molten lava. While I've personally never done it, I can definitely still say that this video has me absolutely impressed with the skill of this Canadian Pilot.

While context for the video itself exists only in the fact that we're certain that this is an extraction in Afghanistan, we would love to hear more. So, if you're the pilot of this CH-146, or you know the pilot of this CH-146, please reach out to us via the comments section below. We'd love to hear the full story.
