A maritime drug interdiction operation was caught on witness bystander video as Costa Rican coast guard members can be seen chasing and shooting at a smuggler team's go-fast boat.
Reportedly, the smugglers ran aground and were apprehended by local authorities. Coast Rica is a drug smuggling hotspot, and the US Coast Guard regular works in conjunction with local authorities, often intercepting millions of dollars worth of cocaine at a time.
