This exclusive Go-Pro footage was sent directly to Funker530 from a member of our viewership and community. While the incident takes place at night and is therefore largely dark, it contains the radio chatter and artillery shelling that indicate the tense situation these members of the International Legion were in.
Per the Irish volunteer who submitted this footage, he was with the International Legion’s 1st Battalion, Bravo Company. They were dispatched to support a Ukrainian-led assault on a Russian position, but in the night prior, one of their number stepped on a mine. The assault force dug in while a team of four evacuated the wounded teammate. Again, while there’s not much to see, the audio helps tell the tale.
The attack having been called off, the Company was recalled to their pickup point the following day, but “took accurate artillery/mortar fire.” His footage of that can be found here.
