Close Range Rocket Ambush on Israeli Tank

Close range combat footage released by Hamas shows a rocket attack against an Israeli tank. While the video is clearly framed to show a direct hit, in actuality it shows the tank's trophy active protection system defeating the rocket as the tank continues to push directly through the contact.

Throughout this conflict, we've seen Hamas release a number of videos showing attacks on Israeli tanks using a variety of rocket systems. For the most part, while Hamas has claimed each shot is at least a mobility kill on the tank, the reality of the situation has been that the tank's APS has been kinetically detonating the rocket before it could touch the armor.

This shot from the Trophy is particularly impressive however due to the shooter's proximity to the armor. The closer the shooter is to the APS, the less time the APS has to calculate and react to the incoming rocket. Generally, when we're seeing direct hits on Israeli tanks in this conflict, it's because the shooter is about this close to the Israeli armor. That's clearly not the case in this instance however.
