CENTCOM Commander Admits Kabul Drone Strike Killed Civilians

In another not so shocking turn of events, the Commander of US CENTCOM has finally decided to admit that the drone strike conducted after the suicide attack in Kabul was erroneous, killing ten civilians.

We're going to let the video speak for itself here. We've already covered down on this topic at length in other posts. You can check that out by clicking this link. In that post, we discussed what we thought happened, and how we thought the Pentagon and CENTCOM were going to try and sweep it under the run in order to prevent the commander of CENTCOM and the JCoS from facing any consequences for their failures in Afghanistan. That's not quite how it played out though.

Pressure from the media is quickly reminding the Pentagon that as service members, they don't get to have their water carried because they have a left leaning bias themselves. At the end of the day, they still wear a uniform, which makes them an enemy and easy target for the press. It'll be interesting to see how this situation develops, but I highly doubt we'll see any consequences held over the heads of CENTCOM commander Gen. Frank McKenzie, or the Chairman of the Joint Chief's of Staff General Milley for their failures to conduct a simple drone strike. Instead, the commander of the drone installation who executed their order will probably be the one who takes the heat.
