Car Bomb Takes Out Israeli Bulldozer In West Bank

This compilation of cell phone footage shows an Israeli Caterpillar D9 being destroyed by a car bomb in Tubas, West Bank. It is unclear what, if any, affiliation the onlookers have in regard to the conflict, but this collection of videos does manage to show the explosion from multiple angles.

The Caterpillar D9 Bulldozer is commonly used by the IDF to help clear barriers and obstacles placed in the IDF’s path, as well as the aftermath rubble from their operations. However, this makes them a frequent target for IED’s and ambushes.

Although IEDs tend to have greater success, historically speaking, than ambushes, sometimes the IDF purposefully detonates IEDs with the heavy, armored dozers, which seems like a win to Hamas, but actually prevents more damage from being caused. Obviously, this doesn’t seem to be the case in this instance.
