British Troops Observe Danger Close Mortar Fire-For-Effect

A video filmed by British troops in Afghanistan shows what appears to be the observation of friendly mortar fires carrying out a fire-for-effect within danger close range (<600 meters).

It's not clear from the footage if the troops were in contact at the time or if they were merely observing a forward deployed live fire exercise. Based on the timing and impact of the rounds, it would seem a full four-gun infantry mortar platoon had dialed in and then completed the FFE into a linear sheaf.
