Sky News: British-trained Afghan Sniper Executed by Taliban

Reports from sources at Sky News say an Afghan sniper who had trained with British Special Operations troops was executed for his involvement with the Afghan National Army.

A reporter with Sky News who is in regular contact with an Afghan Interpreter who supported coalition forces throughout Operation Enduring Freedom has confirmed that a former Afghan Commando who was a sniper that worked with British Special Operations has been executed by the Taliban. This is directly in contrast with what Taliban leadership said would be happening to the men and women of Afghanistan who served with the Afghan National Army, but I don't think anyone can say they are surprised.

For hundreds of thousands of Afghans who have been left behind, this is the reality they now face every day. I have spoken to dozens of Afghans who were not able to evacuate the country under the ludicrous deadline set by the American Government. Many of them are trying to utilize smuggling routes to get to Tajikistan or Uzbekistan, but those routes too are known by the Taliban, and are under constant watch. It is believed that many of these routes are where people are being executed.

This news comes just days after video of a woman being beaten to death in the street by the Taliban was released. This should come as no surprise to anyone. Taliban fighters are literally 8th century barbarians. If you think tweeting at them will make a difference, I would like to remind you that the literacy rate in Afghanistan is somewhere around 35%, with an estimated 10 million Afghans not having the ability to read or write in any language whatsoever.

Your online virtue signaling means nothing. These people don't have internet access, and even if they did, they don't have the ability to read your supportive tweets.
