Brazilian Volunteers Hold The Line In Serebryansky Forest

This GoPro-style footage, provided by a Brazilian volunteer in the Ukrainian Army, shows his unit holding a defensive position in Serebryansky Forest, which is in Luhansk Oblast. The cameraman, whom, according to my keen investigative instinct is probably called Luiz, demonstrates a working knowledge of a variety of weapons, including a grenade launcher, RPG, machine guns, and an AK-pattern rifle. We even glimpse a slightly more mundane side of the war at lunchtime, before Luiz and the boys set it aside to get back on the line. It's been said that history doesn't repeat itself- it rhymes. Years from now, there will be memes and jokes made around a kernel of truth: You knew you were in trouble when the Serebryansky trees started speaking Portuguese.
